Welcome to Egg Harbor Township Girls Softball
Egg Harbor Township Youth Softball is proud of its 6 - 16U EHT Tornadoes receational league and the 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U Xtreme travel teams. EHT has a long heritage of championship receational Babe Ruth All-Star teams winning numerous titles at all age levels. EHT Youth Softball is open to all EHT girls from ages 6-17. The recreational teams are on a non-try out basis meaning all children, who are residents of Egg Harbor Township, are accepted into the program. A regular season schedule is played week nights from April through June culminating in an ABRSL league Championship.
From June through July the All-Star teams play in District, State, and Regional tournaments leading up to the Babe Ruth World Series. Starting in early to mid-September EHTYS hosts a fall softball recreational league, where all games are conveniently played in one central location here at Child's Kirk Memorial Park in EHT. Games take place on Sunday at 9AM and 11AM through mid-November (schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions).
The EHT Xtreme are travel teams that play in tournamnets through out New Jersey and other states like Pennsylvania, Deleware, New York, Maryland and South Carolina. They too are Babe Ruth, and compete in tournaments hosted by various other softball organizations such as ASA, NSA, WFC, etc. EHT Xtreme teams also host tournaments at our home fields here in EHT at the Childs-Kirk Memorial Softball Complex. These tournaments are also used to benefit various causes such as Ovarian Cancer and MS. The Xtreme teams are year round teams practicing indoors in the winter, and playing tournaments through the spring, summer, and fall seasons.
Only those girls and their families who are entirely committed to softball 11 months out of the year should inquire about joining our All-Star and Xtreme teams. While these programs are separate from each other, some restrictions do apply, and additional costs will accompany your daughter's acceptance into these try-out programs.
